Valley of Fire State Park

The Valley of Fire State Park is very close to Las Vegas. If you have never been there, you really need to check it out!! I lived there for a couple of years, and had some of the best times.

SnowSkiing is nearby at Mt. Charleston, You can go hiking at Red Rock Canyon (or, of course Valley of Fire State Park). Zion Canyon in Utah is only a short drive away.

The city itself, is simply amazing. All of the lights and activity. Gambling is not the only thing there is to do. Several great shows can be seen that are very inexpensive.

  1. Don't know if you'll see my comment here, but I wanted to thank you for visiting my blog. I've learned something from you -- never heard of this state park, and I'm a native Nevadan! Born and raised in Reno before moving to Oregon. I was at Lake Mead but that's about as much recreation as I experienced in the LV area.
Thank you for pointing out to your readers that there are beautiful options to the casinos in Nevada!
